Thanks for sharing this, Savannah.
Looking at the libguide to which you’ve linked below, it appears that the funding support offered to Clemson-affiliated authors under this agreement amounts to a 5% discount on the standard APC. Is that correct?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
IGI Global Scientific Publishing and Clemson University Establish Partnership Through Open Access Agreement
New York, NY, January 7, 2026 – IGI Global Scientific Publishing—dedicated to “Publishing Tomorrow’s Research Today” since 1988, has established a partnership with Clemson University through an Open Access Agreement.
Through this agreement, Clemson University faculty receive Article Processing Charge (APC) funding support from their library to publish in IGI Global Scientific Publishing’s Open Access Journal Program, which includes nearly 200 journals across Business & Management, Science, Technology & Medicine (STM), and Education & Social Sciences. By publishing Open Access (under CC BY licensing), faculty benefit from increased visibility, discoverability, and citation impact across hundreds of journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
“We are pleased to start this partnership with Clemson University,” said Nick Newcomer, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at IGI Global Scientific Publishing. “This Open Access Agreement reinforces our shared commitment to removing barriers to open access and increasing the visibility and impact of scholarly research.”
“As the newest member of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), Clemson Libraries continues to identify and pursue new cost-effective transformative agreements to support our institutional authors. Partnering with IGI Global Scientific Publishing is an exciting step in that direction as we seek to expand our research and positively impact scholarship across the globe,” said Christopher Vidas, Head of Collections and Acquisitions at Clemson University.
